On November 29 – December 1, the Nuclear Security Center of Excellence (NSCOE) is to conduct the Mobile detection systems operator training for the Dignitary Security Department (DSD) officials. The event was carried out as a continuation of NSCOE and DSD cooperation.

10 DSD officers – Mobile detection system (MDS) operators participated in the three-days long training event. The Mobile detection system (MDS) along with other equipment is used by the DSD to ensure the security of the dignities and related infrastructure. The tailored training program for DSD officials was developed by the NSCOE based on the needs identified, institutions’ tasks, objectives and officers functional analysis.  It is expected, that at the successful completion of the course, the participants will have developed their skills and capabilities to perform radiation detection and initial response functions effectively.
