On January 14-24, 2020, Nuclear Security Center of Excellence instructors conducted lectures to Border Guard School initial vocational education students.

During the classes the young border guard officers were introduced to the laws on radiation protection and radiation control, types of ionizing radiation and their physical features, biological effects of ionizing radiation, means and ways of protection against ionizing radiation’s harmful impact. During the practical part of the training, the students got acquainted with types of portable radiation detection equipment which they’ll use performing radiation control as part of their future duties.
