On January 22 – February 11 2019, the specialists of Nuclear Security Center of Excellence (NSCOE) have been conducting lectures and workshops for primary and introductory SBGS Border Guard School students. During the classes future border guards have been familiarized with legal acts regulating radiation protection and control, types of ionizing radiation and their physical properties, means and methods of protection against ionizing radiation‘s harmful impact and biological effects of ionizing radiation.

During the practical sessions the trainees have had an opportunity to test the specialized dosimetric control portable equipment, which they will have to use while performing radiation control as part of their future duties.
