On 21 November 2019, an international workshop “Risk Analysis” was held at the State Border Guard Service under the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Lithuania (SBGS). It was attended by representatives from the Information Analysis Division of the SBGS Criminalistics Investigation Board, Criminal Investigations Division, Migration Division as well as representatives of the Border Control Management Board Nuclear Security Competence Center of Excellence (NSCOE), Border Guards School and SBGS border districts. Colleagues from Latvia and Poland also participated in the seminar and shared their countries Border Guard Services experiences on risk analysis.

During the workshop, the risk analysis carried out by the SBGS and its topical issues were presented and discussed. Head of NSCOE, Dinara Neimontaitė presented the threats of nuclear security and discussed measures to ensure it.

NSCOE since 2012 participates in promoting and improving cooperation and coordination of domestic institutions implementing the nuclear security regime in order to implement nuclear security regime measures in Lithuania, in accordance with the good practices of other countries and international organizations such as the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Interpol, GICNT and etc. recommendations.
